Ships that have completed their economic life are purchased and brought to the facility, and they are dismantled and recycled within the scope of Basel, IMO, ILO-HONG KONG conventions, EU Regulation and national legislation, to which we are a party.
Our facility is equipped with modern equipment and complies with all national and international legislation and standardization. Operating in a total area of 19,500 square meters and %85 of this area is impermeable concrete with a 50-meter coastline, Ege Çelik has an annual capacity of 70,000 tons , expert employees of 100 people.
In addition to the national Environmental and OHS legislation that affects the ability to achieve the result(s) of the Environment, OHS and Quality management systems, international agreements to which our country is a party regarding Ship Recycling (BASEL-ILO – IMO etc.) and the relevant Environmental and OHS legislation of the EU Ship Recycling Regulation. It integrated its obligations into its activities and entered the list of EU-approved ship recycling facilities in 2019.
